Polylactic acid (PLA) is a biodegradable

thermopastic that is derived from corn starch.

Glass Temp                -    140  F (temp where part will deform)

Melting Temperature  -    302  F

Ultimate Tensile        ~     7000 psi

                     (Note that the typical failue mode is delamination of layers)
